Visitor Days

 Held the first Tuesday of the month April through October, these tours are perfect for backyard gardeners, plant enthusiasts or professionals in the fields of horticulture, design, and ecology. Visitor Days are best suited for first-time guests to SHR and are led by a Garden Tour Docent. Entrance is $25 per person with a maximum of four per party.

Native Plant Arboretum | Research Center

Private Tours

Providing a deeply personal look at the true beauty and wonder of the Reserve, these tours are ideal for garden clubs, plant societies, master gardener groups, horticulture groups, academic societies and nature lovers. Reservations are a minimum of $350 and accommodate 10 people. Additional guests are $35 per person with a maximum of 20 in the group.

Private Tours are available April through October. Tour dates for 2023 will be released in February.

Native Plant Symposium

The Reserve’s principal educational event for the year, the symposium features nationally-recognized native plant and design experts who support our mission of education on the importance of native plant conservation and preservation.

The Symposium will be back in 2023.
